MWC 2017 LIVE: Nokia smartphones will deliver the purest Android experience, HMD

Even though Mobile World Congress (MWC) is officially set to start on 27 February in Barcelona, major companies like LG, Huawei and now Nokia have scheduled the events for today. HMD Global, an independent Finnish company is set to announce the launch of new Nokia smartphones running on Android instead of Windows Phone.

HMD Global currently holds the license to the Nokia brand name and manufactures Nokia-branded phones on Nokia’s behalf.

HMD Global is expected to launch Nokia 8 and Nokia P1, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and revamped Nokia 3310. One thing to note is that HMD Global has already launched Nokia 6 back in January.

The Nokia event will be streamed LIVE on Nokia’s Facebook page here. You can of course take advantage of our bandwidth-friendly, text-version in our own live blog below!
