Nokia finally announced its Android based smartphones at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. While the handsets aren’t very exciting on paper, they are well Nokia. The new Nokia 3, 5 and 6 will officially be available globally and target the budget segment considering the price range.

While the company didn’t mention about the launch period, the folks over Fonearena spoke to Ajey Mehta, India VP at HMD Global who spilled some beans around how the company will go forward.

According to the VP, HMD is planning to manufacture the new handsets in India right from the beginning in collaboration with Foxconn. The Nokia 5 is priced at 189 Euros which is close to Rs 14,000 while the Nokia 6 is priced at 229 Euros or Rs 16000 approximately.
