Xiaomi Redmi 4X launched with a Snapdragon 435 chipset, 13MP rear camera and more

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 4X along with the Mi 5c and its brand new system on chip – the Surge S1 SoC. The new Redmi 4X will be currently selling in China in multiple variants.

The 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant is priced at CNY 699 (approx Rs 7,000) whereas the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899 (approx Rs 8,500). Storage can be expanded using a microSD card slot to 128GB. The phones will be available in Cherry Pink, Champagne Gold and Matte Black colours in China, but the sale dates have yet to be announced.

Redmi 4X

The Xiaomi Redmi 4X comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The phone sports a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass. The Xiaomi Redmi 4X sports a slight change in the design language from the Redmi Note 4 and boasts of metal construction. There is a round fingerprint scanner on the rear side.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4X runs on Android 6.0 with the MIUI 8 skin atop it. The phone comes in a hybrid dual SIM configuration. The phone supports VoLTE.

On the camera front, you get a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detect AF, LED Flash and there is a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

There are no details out as to when the phone is launching in India.
