Leaks suggest Xiaomi Mi 6 will launch with Snapdragon 835, dual camera setup

We have been hearing about Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Mi 6, for the past few months. Today we have a fresh round of leaks around the handset.

The smartphone is said to be listed on online store Oppomart and also reveals the sepcifications of the flagship smartphone. If it is the real deal then we can expect a Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage. The display is a 5.15-inch FHD AMOLED panel and then there is a new 19MP Sony IMX400 sensor. This sounds interesting however the price doesn’t seem right. At $299 (Rs 19,500 approx) this kind of configuration sounds too good to be true.

There have been reports that the handset could come in a variety of chipset variants. But Xiaomi mobile’s official Weibo page has given a hint that one of them will be a Snapdragon 835. The teaser says “I come, I see, I conquer” along with a Snapdragon 835 hashtag.

Also, there has been a leak of a potential case for the Mi 6. The leaked case has rounded edges and corners. Also, the holes for the camera give a hint that it could include a dual rear camera system. The leaked images of the case also have a comparison with a Samsung Galaxy S6 which confirms that the Mi 6 will have a 5-1 or a 5.2-inch display size.
