There are no hints other than the promise of a ‘future of Dash Charge’. Dash Charging is one of the unique selling points of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. It lets you charge your phone quickly – with around 30 mins of charging giving you enough juice to last through the major part of your day.
Speculations around this announcement are hinting at a Dash Charge compatible power bank.

Considering it is 1 April tomorrow, one could also say that this may be OnePlus’ idea of playing a prank, but one of the founders, Carl Pei has also been tweeting about this announcement on his personal account. Maybe he is in on the prank, if it is a prank indeed. One can’t say for sure.
Recently there was a vulnerability that was discovered, which let hackers attack your OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T smartphone using malicious chargers.
According to Aleph Security blog post, the security company posted details about the security flaw where hackers can infect your device using a malicious charger.
This flaw comes weeks after other flaws were pointed in the OnePlus bootloader. This flaw relies on CVE-2017-5622, CVE-2017-5624 and CVE-2017-5626 vulnerabilities where the CVE-2017-5622 is the one that researchers recently discovered. However, before diving into the details, it is worth pointing out that OnePlus fixed CVE-2017-5626 in OxygenOS 4.0.2 while CVE-2017-5622 and CVE-2017-5624 were fixed in OxygenOS 4.0.3.
