MWC 2017: Huawei P10 leaks yet again in press renders, will arrive with EMUI 5.1

As this year’s MWC draws closer, we get to see new leaks almost everyday. Huawei will be launching the P10 (and the P10 Plus) on 26 February, and we have seen a couple of leaked and teased pictures of the device.

The latest leak comes with alleged press renders showing the device in a dark gray and black finish. This means that we would see a total of four colour variants of the handset. The design is also in line with the previous leaks and it seems that the handset will have a metal finish with almost hidden antenna bands on the top and bottom, very similar to the iPhone 7. We can also see that the display will be edge to edge.

From what we have heard, the P10 could feature a 5.2-inch 2K IPS display (2560×1440), a HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor paired with a Mali-G71 MP8 GPU and up to 6GB of RAM. It is expected to come in three variants, 4GB RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage and another 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of onboard storage. The handset will also feature a Leica-branded dual-camera system (12MP, f/1.7) with 4K recording capabilities.

Huawei has also said to have posted a teaser poster on Weibo confirming that the it will announce a new update to its Android UI. EMUI 5.1 could very well make an appearance and we are expecting it to launch on the P10 and P10 Plus. There is no information around the features or the capabilities, but we are hoping that it will be based on Android 7.0 Nougat as it has been almost six months since the new update was announced by Google.
