Jio Summer Surprise offer bundle removed from site, tariff packs to be updated soon

Reliance Jio has removed all references to the ‘Jio Summer Surprise Offer’ and has updated its website with “We are updating our tariff packs and will be soon INTRODUCING more exciting OFFERS.” Users reported the change observing that they can no longer see the Recharge prompt on their MyJio apps asking them to recharge immediately to enroll in the offer.

This confusion comes right after Trai, the regulatory authority of India advised the company to discontinue the free offer. Reliance Jio accepted Trai advice and announced that it would discontinue the three-month complimentary ‘Jio Summer Surprise Offer’.

Those Jio Prime members who had enrolled for the ‘Jio Summer Surprise Offer’ by recharging their plans with the Rs 303 and higher plans, will still be eligible for the three complimentary months, after which they will be brought on to the monthly bill cycle.

“Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days,” read the statement.
