Tech journalist Walt Mossberg to retire after 47 years
Veteran technology journalist Walt Mossberg who regularly writes on technology has announced his retirement. His departure from tech was made official on Friday via The Verge (at Vox Media where Moss is currently employed) in an article where he made all the details of his departure from tech crystal clear.
Known by many as just ‘Moss’, Walt regularly wrote columns for a variety of publications that basically simplified the complicated world of technology. With his articles read by millions, his columns were opinionated and showcased his passion for the field. Indeed Walt’s retirement comes at a time that can be aptly titled as the Golden Age of Computing, where computers were invented, delivered in the hands of consumers and have gone from giant machines to desktops, to laptops, to tablets and now smartphones.
His most famous interviews in tech include those with Steve Jobs and Bill Gates and even both of them at once. In the past years he got involved with tech conferences like All Things D and Code.
In his piece on The Verge, Mossberg did not give out where he’s headed, but did tell that he was ready and willing for something new.
